Dee is a nationally recognized neuroscience educator, known for her unique ability to present complex ideas in clear and humorous ways that are useful for educators. She has a master's degree in special education from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in neurological studies and holistic education from the University of Northern Colorado. Her background includes 14 years in the classroom as a special education teacher and director of programs, including an alternative school for dropouts. She was also on the faculty of Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado for 20 years where she applied brain research to education issues in her college courses. Dee continues to offer many workshops and keynote presentations around the country. Through Kindling Touch Publications, CD sets from many of these keynote talks and various written materials are now available.
